We are committed to making our studio, workshops, events, and training programs welcoming to all. Encouraging a diverse range of teaching voices is one of the ways we ensure Embrace Yoga DC, Embrace OM, and wellness spaces around the world are safe environments for all. With this as a guiding principle, we make it known that ALL, especially marginalized and BIPOC (black, Indigenous and people of color) communities deserve to be seen, heard, and represented. This is something our founder, Faith Hunter, deeply believes and has committed to since opening her first studio in 2007.
Upon opening, Faith created her own Yoga Teacher Training program, and began offering training scholarships. She personally experienced and witnessed the inequalities within the wellness community. Since 2007, Faith has offered scholarships based on the number of students in need, beautifully balanced with paying enrollments. Without fail, scholarships have been provided each year. Along the way, Faith also volunteered her time to train and educate teachers throughout the world. She’s never boasted about these efforts; however, now is the time to let the world know what she’s been doing over the years.
Inspired by Faith’s commitment and dharma to serve, Embrace is proud to announce the WE FLY Training Fund. This fund is designed to offer partial and full scholarships to Embrace hosted training programs, and support complimentary community-driven classes and workshops for teachers, healing guides, life coaches, activists, nonprofit employees, or anyone fueled with the purpose to serve.
We hope you will join us in supporting the educational and professional development of wellness professionals.
